„Push and Pull“ ist 2013 im Auftrag von Sergej Tchirkov für das Internationale Festival für zeitgenössische Musik 2013 in St. Petersburg entstanden. Die Uraufführung fand am 24. Mai 2013 im Glinka Saal der St. Petersburger Philharmonie statt.
